About Me

I like playing with vintage slip cast moulds but lately I’ve been exploring ideas about identity and motherhood.

My current hand building work is about being perceived (autistic) and hiding parts of myself to be accepted, especially with other mothers. I discovered my inability to tolerate flaws in my pottery reflected an inability to tolerate them in myself so I attempt to camouflage them both.

The camouflage or mask I wear helps me to be more socially acceptable but it also changes who I am.
